Cardiff University Approved Anti-Virus Software
Before any student-owned Windows or Mac computer is allowed to connect to the network, Cardiff University-approved anti-virus software must be installed with agreement that automatic updates will be taken. This is to protect both the student-owned computer and other users of the Cardiff University corporate network.
Installation of anti-virus software on other Operating Systems (e.g. Linux, BSD) is not a requirement; it is, however, strongly recommended.
Cardiff University Campus Manager currently supports the following anti-virus products for Windows:

Computers not running Cardiff University-approved anti-virus software will not be permitted to connect to the RESLAN network.
You are required to keep your anti-virus product up-to-date. If we detect symptoms indicating that your machine may be infected with a virus we will immediately take action which may include disconnecting your computer from the network.
It is your responsibility to remove viruses and secure your operating system.
