Extension Allocation Policy
i) The allocation of telephones to schools and departments is determined in accordance with approved policy. The objective of the policy is to:
- enable schools/departments to adjust telephone resources to match
demand; - ensure a fair and effective distribution of the available central system
capacity.
ii) Costs of provision must be met by the school / department
iii ) Allocation of telephones to administrative sections is determined by
demonstrable need, with the "burden of proof" resting with the head of
section.
