IMAP Mail Client Configuration
GroupWise can be accessed with any IMAP capable mail client.
GroupWise mailbox
To access your GroupWise mailbox in this way you need to set up an IMAP account with the following settings: (you must substitute your individual settings for items in square [ ] brackets)
- Account type: IMAP
- Email address: [mailname]@cardiff.ac.uk (e.g. SmithA@cardiff.ac.uk)
- Account name: [your network username]
- Account password: [your GroupWise password] (Do NOT choose to store this)
- IMAP server: pobox.cardiff.ac.uk
- SMTP server: pobox.cardiff.ac.uk (if accessing your mailbox via an Internet Service Provider, you will need to use the SMTP server details supplied by them)
