GroupWise for new users
GroupWise is a messaging and collaboration system that allows you to organise your electronic mail and schedule appointments, tasks and reminder notes.
GroupWise is available to staff and research postgraduates. This page contains essential information for new GroupWise users.
Apple Mac Users
Your new mail will be delivered to your GroupWise account. If you only wish to use GroupWise for email, you should use an IMAP capable mail client. (The old Mac Pegasus Mail client is not IMAP capable). Please see the instructions for setting up IMAP services.
If you wish to use the range of GroupWise facilities including calendars, you should use GroupWise WebAccess.
Unix users
You can use GroupWise WebAccess to benefit from the calendar facilities.
If you want your new mail delivered to GroupWise, please contact insrvConnect.
If you do not want your new mail delivered to GroupWise, you are strongly recommended to set autoforwarding within GroupWise. Other GroupWise users may send mail to your GroupWise account once your name appears in the GroupWise address book and it is your responsibility to make sure that this mail is read.
IMAP Users
GroupWise can be accessed with any IMAP capable mail client. To access GroupWise in this way, please see the instructions for setting up IMAP services.
