Office365 is the current email service for Cardiff University staff and students.

This messaging and collaboration service allows you to organise your electronic mail and to schedule appointments, tasks and reminder notes.  It is also fully integrated with other components of the University IT Programme to provide a powerful service, which supports your communication needs.

Office365 can be accessed via:

Microsoft Outlook - provides access to your email and contacts, and allows you to schedule appointments and collaborate with colleagues.

Outlook Web Access - provides web access to your email and calendaring service.

Active Sync - provides access to your Office365 account via mobile devices and tablets.

Web Access to Office365

Outlook Web Access is a fully featured web client for web access to your University email, calendar, contacts and collaboration services. It combines most of the functionality of Microsoft Outlook via a convenient and accessible web interface.

You can access this service through visiting Cardiff Portal and logging in using your Cardiff University username and password.  You can find your email by selecting the 'Email' tab at the top of the screen.

Staff and Research Postgraduates will be required to encrypt their smartphones and tablets before being able to access the University's email and calendaring system, Office 365. This includes both personally and University owned devices.
