Library Services Survey Summary
In 2005 a questionnaire survey was carried out to elicit the current and future library and information needs of a random sample of staff and students in Cardiff University's 28 academic schools. The results of this survey and the separately analysed companion surveys contributed by the Schools' research and learning & teaching committees are now available at:
These results have been instrumental in informing the work of the University's Library Review Group whose report and recommendations are expected to be considered by the University during the coming months.
A prize draw was conducted offering one student and one staff member from the random sample the chance to win £50. Congratulations to the winners, who were undergraduate student Christopher Williams from the School of Computer Science and staff member Mr Elwyn John of the School of Engineering. The Library Review Group would like to thank the 900 staff and students and the members of the 42 committees who completed the questionnaires, providing a wealth of valuable information to guide library developments.
