Microsoft Publisher: Comprehensive
Microsoft Publisher is a simple, yet powerful desk top publishing (DTP) application. Utilising the standard Microsoft Office interface but combined with in-built control over layout of printed pages Publisher is an ideal tool for designing and creating printed documents beyond the scope of a normal word-processor, e.g. posters and newsletters.
This one day course provides a comprehensive overview of everything you need to be able to use Microsoft Publisher to create professional looking publications.
By the end of this course you will:
- understand how page layout can be controlled by use of frames
- be able to create complex page layouts, e.g. posters and brochures
- be able to setup and use multiple column layouts for newsletters
- be able to incorporate pictures and images into the overall layout of your publications
You must be familiar with the Microsoft Office 2010 interface as well as using a mouse and keyboard. It is recommended that you are able to create formatted documents using Microsoft Word prior to attending this course.
Whole day course split into two 3 hour sessions (length of training 6 hours).
The cost of attendance on this course is £95 for members of staff and students of Cardiff University.
