Electronic Journals for Pharmacy
Full text electronic journals are available to all students and staff of Cardiff University.
Many electronic journals can be accessed from home or other off-campus locations using your Cardiff University username and password.
To access the full text of electronic journals over the internet:
- Use the Voyager library catalogue to search for both electronic and printed journals, or
- Browse or search the electronic journals collection using the Cardiff University eLibrary
You can also access electronic journals through Electronic Resources - MetaLib

African journals online
African Journals OnLine (AJOL) is a service to provide access to African published research.
The service provides:
- Abstracts (where available)
- Links to full text available elsewhere on the web
- Searching within AJOL titles
- Email alerts (email notification when new issues are published)
American Society for Microbiology (ASM)
Full text access to all ASM journals for Cardiff University.

Electronic publishing service for bioscientists.
Biological Journals and Abbreviations
These pages contain the abbreviations, full titles, and links to some web pages for a large variety of biological and medical journals.
BioMedCentral
An independent publishing house committed to providing immediate free access to peer-reviewed biomedical research. All the content of all BMC title journals is freely available. Research articles in other titles are available upon (free) registration.
BioOne
To see a complete list of available titles on BioOne:
Select Browse Journal Titles from the Basic Search page (you will be taken straight to this page from the BioOne link).
On the Journal Titles page, either check the Subscribed-to Journals box or select BioOne from the first drop down box.
Click on the Browse Journal Titles button.
There is no off-campus access to BioOne at present.

Full text access to journal titles from Blackwell Publishing.

Free Medical Journals
The Free Medical Journals Site is dedicated to the promotion of free access to medical journals over the Internet.
HighWire Press (Stanford University)
Links to more than 50 online full text journals in biology and medicine, many with free access to previous years.
IngentaConnect
Ingenta Connect is a database of current article information taken from 26,000 multidisciplinary journals. Some functions are only available to subscribers, but it is free to search the database.
Oxford University Press
OUP is widely recognised as one of the world's premier journal publishers.
Ovid Online
Provides access to bibliographic databases and full text journals in the field of medicine.

The Public Library of Science (PLoS) is a non-profit organization of scientists and physicians committed to making the world's scientific and medical literature a freely available public resource.
ScienceDirect from Elsevier
Full text access to over 1,200 journals covering medicine, science and technology. Click on the green, group-wide login button for a list of titles.
Springer Link
Also includes the imprints Kluwer Academic, Brill, and Maik Nauka journals.
Swetswise
A single point of access to a large and growing range of full text publications as well as table of contents and abstracts.

Access to full text journals, reference works and books.
Zetoc - Electronic Table of Contents from the British Library
Zetoc provides access to the British Library's Electronic Table of Contents database, which is updated daily. zetoc Alert will email you the contents pages of your chosen journals.
Impact Factors
Journal Citation Reports on the Web provides easy access to data that helps you evaluate and compare scholarly journals. This includes Impact Factors and most frequently used titles. A CU Login is required to access this service off campus.
To access the Reports, login to Web of Knowledge and click on the ISI Journal Citation Reports option from the home page.
