NICE is the independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on the promotion of good health and the prevention and treatment of ill health.

Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC  
The Nursing and Midwifery Council replaces the UKCC. It is an organisation set up by Parliament to ensure nurses, midwives and health visitors provide high standards of care to their patients and clients.
