This Web page gives an overview of what and where the Boxgrove project is. There is a history of the Boxgrove excavations and discussions concerning Boxgrove Man, the ancient landsurfaces at Boxgrove and the excavated animal remains. The 1995 and 1996 excavation reports are also available.
The Cosquer Cave
Located at Cape Morgiou, in the Calanques, near Marseilles, this cave contains several dozen works painted and engraved between 27,000 and 19,000 years ago. The land animals, seals, auks and hand stencils are all discussed.
The Chauvet Cave
These pages present some of the images of the cave paintings found in 1994, at Vallon-Pont-d'Arc in the Ardᆪhe region of France. The illustrations are accompanied by text which describes the painting's subject matter, significance, dating and other related matters of interest.

A Landscape of Ancestors: The Heuneburg Archaeological Project
This site represents a long-term research project involving excavations in an early Iron Age archaeological landscape in south-western Germany. The 'project focuses on a group of burial mounds or tumuli associated with one of the best excavated and most extensively studied late Hallstatt period (~600-400 BC) hillfort settlements in western Europe, the Heunebur.'
World of the Celts
