Where is the BusinessObjects Online webpage?
The full web page address (URL) is:https://mbows01.cf.ac.uk:8443/BOE/BI but you can just type in the shortcut boweb.
It is recommended that you make this a favourite for future reference.
Why can’t I log in?
Error Message: "Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is correct."
You’ve typed in the incorrect password. Email insrvConnect@cardiff.ac.uk to request that your BusinessObjects password is reset
Why can't I see any folders?
You haven’t clicked on expand button to view folders and subfolders. Click on the + (expand button) to the left of the folder name to display folders beneath.
Why can't I see the folder I'm looking for?
You may not have access rights to the folder you are looking for. If you cannot see the folder or subfolder when you click on the expand button, you will need to apply for extended access. Why can't I see the report I'm looking for?
Click on the folder name, reports will be displayed in the right pane.
Scroll to the bottom of the list. If 1 2 (3 4) is displayed, there are more pages listing further reports. Click on the required page to find the report. Note, reports are listed in alphabetical order.
If you don't know which folder to look in, type in one or more words from the report title into Search Title. A list of reports containing those words will be displayed. Next to them is the folder/subfolder in which they're located.
Why don't I get any data when I refresh a report?
Error message: "No data to retrieve in Name of Report query."
You have made an error with the responses to the prompts. Click on Refresh Data and check your responses for errors, e.g. the correct case.
Error message: "No data to retrieve in SQL 1 with Live Connection."
There is no data meeting the prompt responses you have provided.
Click on Refresh Data and amend your responses and refresh again.
Why can't I print?
The view needs to be changed into PDF to allow printing. Click Document and select PDF view. Wait a few moments. Print as if a PDF document, selecting the pages required.
