Email is the University's primary communication method; as a member of the University community, you will be given a Cardiff University email address when you register to use the network.
To access your University email securely, please go to Cardiff Portal and log on with your username and password.
You can also access your email via Microsoft Outlook which is part of the Microsoft Office suite. To configure Microsoft Outlook please see our 'set up and access' advice page.
If you are unable to access your emails, please contact the IT Service Desk for advice.
Staff and Research Postgraduates will soon be required to encrypt their smartphones and tablets before being able to access the University's email and calendaring system, Office 365. This includes both personally and University owned devices.
We strongly recommend that you activate encryption before accessing emails on your smartphone or tablet.
