A centre of excellence for software engineering.

The National Software Academy aims to produce skilled graduates with industrial experience who will be recognised as leaders in their field.

Working in partnership with Welsh Government and industry leaders, the Academy is an innovative Cardiff University initiative to tackle a national shortage of skilled programming and software engineering graduates.

Based at The Platform, a new technology hub in Newport, the National Software Academy (NSA) will deliver a degree focused on the skills, knowledge and hands-on experience needed to be a commercial software engineer.

The three-year BSc Applied Software Engineering course, is equipping students with everything it takes to work and think like a professional software engineer.
