Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) brings together world-leading expertise in brain mapping with the very latest in brain imaging and brain stimulation.

The £44M centre is one of Europe's flagship facilities. It combines our expertise in brain imaging techniques with the latest technology in imaging and stimulation, enabling our researchers to rapidly test new ideas and theories.

Its clinical research facility is a purpose-built environment for patients and volunteers taking part in medical research and clinical trials. It includes a sleep lab and facilities for the study of cerebrovascular physiology.

State-of-the-art labs for MRI, brain stimulation and cognitive methods are improving our understanding of conditions such as dementia, schizophrenia and multiple sclerosis.

The unique depth and breadth of expertise and equipment in CUBRIC allows us to answer a wide range of questions about the brain in health and disease, and facilitates academic and industrial collaborations at both the national and international level.
