Applying the logos of external stakeholder organisations, indicating partnership or support for example, is possible within the visual identity system. The appropriate use and positioning of such logos will depend on considerations such as: the nature of the University/School's association with the organisation; the level of any support/sponsorship provided. In most instances such logos would be positioned in the sub-identity position. In exceptional instances there is provision for a partner logo to be positioned at equal status with the Cardiff University logo/and written reference to the partner organisation.
In instances of multi-partnership projects it is usual for letterhead to be created with the joint agreements of partners and to either feature the various partner logos in a consistent manner or not to feature any of these in favour of a separate and distinct project logo. In some instances it may be more appropriate for membership of a partnership to be expressed as a written statement rather than through visually designed elements.
In all cases the Public Relations Office should be contacted prior to any design work being commissioned or undertaken.
