Working with Children and Vulnerable Adults: an Introduction to Good Practice, Legislation and University Policy

This is a brief session for staff who's work brings them into contact with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults. It seeks to provide

• information and practical guidance about how to manage this contact effectively and in line with current safeguarding legislation; and
• clarity about responsibilities under the University's 'Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy' which has been developed to ensure that arrangements are in place to safeguard children and vulnerable adults in line with best practice, statutory requirements (where applicable) and the common law.
