Do your web searches hit the jackpot first time or do find yourself trawling the depths to find what you need? Enhance your information literacy by coming to this workshop, where you will discover how to get the best from the web.  You will learn about advanced search techniques, explore alternatives to the general search engines and find quality web sites through the University Library pages.  The workshop will highlight the importance of applying careful critical judgement when using web-based documents in research and will give you tips on how to evaluate websites.


It was of benefit to learn how to refine web searches, which search engines provide the most information, and how to make a comparison between two search engines.
