Working Groups

A number of working groups aid the coordination and development of the Staff Attitude Survey, as detailed in the section below:

Staff Attitude Survey Steering Group

The Staff Attitude Survey Steering Group is chaired by Professor Terry Threadgold, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Staff and Diversity, and will take forward the high-level planning in relation to the 2011 Staff Attitude Survey. The group met for the first time in January 2011 and it is anticipated that the group will continue to meet during the buildup to the 2011 Staff Attitude Survey.

Staff Attitude Survey Sub-Group

The Staff Attitude Survey Sub-Group will consider the detail of the 2011 Staff Attitude Survey, taking decisions in relation to aspects such as the questionnaire design and question set of the 2011 survey. This group is also chaired by Professor Terry Threadgold, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Staff and Diversity.

Positive Working Environment Steering Group

The Positive Working Environment Steering Group is chaired by Professor Terry Threadgold, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Staff and Diversity, and meets two times per session. The Group informs and guides the work of the overall Positive Working Environment initiative.The Staff Attitude Survey is just one of the projects that the PWE Steering Group consider as part of their business.

Positive Working Environment Coordination Group

The Positive Working Environment Coordination Group meets regularly and is chaired by Jayne Dowden, Director of Human Resources, Safety, Health and Environment. The Group takes forward the work of the Positive Working Environment initiative, as recommended by the Positive Working Environment Steering Group.

Health and Wellbeing Working Group

The Health and Wellbeing Working Group meets once per session and helps to take forward work in relation to staff health and wellbeing. The Group is chaired by Professor Terry Threadgold, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Staff and Diversity.

Communication Strategy Staff Sub Group

The Communication Strategy Staff Group was formed to take forward work in relation to improving communication for and between staff. The results from the 2008 Staff Attitude Survey were invaluable in informing the work of this group, which was chaired by Professor Terry Threadgold, and formed part of the University's communication strategy for staff, students and external audiences. The work of Group, and incumbent recommendations, will now be taken forward as part of Cardiff University's Cardiff Futures project
