Positive Health + Environment Week (PHEW)
Our sixth Positive Health and Environment Week (PHEW) will be taking place between Monday 30th June and Friday 11th July 2014. This annual event aims to encourage, support and develop the health and wellbeing of Cardiff University’s employees, through a wide range of enjoyable and informative activities.
These activities will include fitness classes, sports tournaments, health checks, adventure and craft activities, workshops and talks, tours of some of Cardiff's fascinating sites and exhibitions, music and dance, complementary therapies and more. They will take place at different locations and at different times of the day, evening and weekend to enable as many people as possible to participate. All will be free of charge to members of staff.
The PHEW 2014 programme will be published here in May, along with details of how you can book your places on the events and activities.
In the meantime, to get a flavour of what PHEW is all about take a look at the Photo Gallery link on the right of this page to see the fun that was had at just a few of last year's events.

Why is PHEW important?
Ensuring that the health and well being of staff is supported is extremely important if we are to ensure that we have a happy, healthy and productive workforce. Since the first Positive Health and Environment Week in 2009, it has become a popular annual event in the University calendar. It is clear from the feedback we receive after each event that PHEW is something which staff have found enjoyable and valuable, enhancing their experience of working for the University.
