The Graduate Centre hosts a variety of social events through the year - including free weekly film nights - which are open to all postgraduate students at Cardiff. You can also bring guests along to social events!

Coach Trips
The Graduate Centre operates fortnightly coach trips to great destinations in the UK which are open to postgraduates and their invited guests. You can check out our schedule and prices on the Trips webpage.

| Saturday 30 March, 7pm | Movie (New Release): The Perks of Being a Wallflower 15-year-old Charlie, an endearing and naive outsider, is coping with first love, the suicide of his best friend, and his own mental illness while struggling to find a group of people with whom he belongs. The introvert freshman is taken under the wings of two seniors, Sam and Patrick, who welcome him to the real world. |

| Saturday 13 April, 7pm | Movie (Classic Film): The Wizard of Oz We're off to meet the Wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz, because because because because because... Classic musical fun starring Judy Garland as Dorothy. |
| Wednesday 17 April, 8pm | Quiz & Pizza Night, Cafe Bar A fun general knowledge team quiz with pizza included (choice of pepperoni or cheese & tomato). There will be questions on pop culture, history, geography, etc with enough international flavor to suit everyone. Come along with or without a team - individuals are welcome and we'll find you some fellow postgrads to join in with! This event will run every Wednesday throughout the Spring Term. |
| Saturday 20 April, 7pm | Movie (World Cinema): Untouchable On the day of her birthday, Jeanne, a young actress, is told that her father is an Indian her mother met on the banks of the Ganges. From then on, Jeanne acts with singleness of purpose: she accepts a shameful role in a poor movie just for the money, buys an air ticket and flies to India, where she both hopes and fears to meet her biological father. |

| Friday 10th May, 6pm - 9pm | BBQ on the Balcony Tickets £6 in advance (available at the Graduate Centre Reception) On Friday 10th May we are hosting a BBQ on the newly resurfaced balcony outside the Cafe Bar. This will include access to the ‘build your own burger station’, and a selection of sides will also be available. There will be options for vegetarians and the meat will be halal. The event is ticketed, with tickets available from the Graduate Centre Reception from Tuesday 16th April priced at just £6. This includes 1 build your own burger, one side, and a trip to the salad bar! Come rain or shine this will be a great way to start your weekend! Spaces are limited so be sure to get you ticket before you miss out! |

| Friday 14th June, 8pm until 2am @ The Vanilla Rooms, Park House Club Cardiff | Postgraduate Summer Party Tickets £15 in advance, including drink on arrival & food. The university’s only summer party for postgraduate students is coming! Taking place at the fantastic Vanilla Rooms bar & marquee at Park House Club, this exclusive event is just for postgraduates and guests. Your ticket price will include a top class gourmet buffet by the award-winning Park House chefs*, a summer cocktail on arrival**, music & entertainment. | Saturday 1 June, 7pm | Movie (World Cinema): The Secret World of Arrietty The Clock family are four-inch-tall people who live anonymously in another family's residence, borrowing simple items to make their home. Life changes for the Clocks when their daughter, Arrietty, is discovered. |
