Heath Park Graduate Centre
We are here for your study life...
Our study facility allows for personal study and small group work to take place simultaneously. You can use the projection screen for group work if you have booked the room for exclusive use. There is one networked computer and wireless network access is available for laptop users.
A sink and hot water boiler are also located within the study space if you require hot water to make your own drinks.
The study room can be booked for a maximum of one full day or two half days per week. Below is a list of current bookings for this academic term. If you want to book the room for exclusive use you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and attach a booking form. We will get back to you as soon as possible, normally within one working day. Alternatively, phone us on 02920 874748 and we can take your details over the phone.
The current booking schedule for the study room will be featured on this page in early September. During these times the study space will not be available for personal use.
We are here for your social life...
Our social facility has a range of soft furnishings and coffee tables available for you to relax in comfort. There is a BluRay player, freeview TV (coming soon), and Nintendo Wii available for you to use (current games available are Mario Kart, Mario vs. Sonic, Wii Motion). Instructions on usage are located in the AV equipment cupboard.
You are welcome to bring food into the Centre, as long as you clear up after yourself. A microwave is available for your personal use.
Location & Access
We are located on the 2nd floor of Tower Block 2 in the Main Hospital Building, Rooms 31 and 33.
From Medical School Entrance: Walk up the steps and enter through the main doors to the medical school. Stairwell access is via the first door on your left. Walk up two flights of stairs and turn left on the second floor. As you walk along the corridor the centre is located on the right hand side (2nd door), and entrance is gained with your University ID Card. You will enter into the social space, to avoid disturbing those in the study space. If you would like to use the study area, the door is on your right. The centre is accessible 24/7.
Lift access via the same entrance is possible. Take the lift to the second floor. Turn right after exiting the lift, go through the double doors and then right through another set of double doors. The centre is located on your right hand side.
From the Hospital Concourse: Follow the signs to Heathfields Restaurant, which will be up two sets of stairs or via a lift. When you reach Heathfields, go through the serving and seating area and you will be in the School of Medicine foyer. The lift and stairwell will be on your right.
Please note that after 10pm access to the centre can be gained via the Herbert Duthry Library Corridor.
