Access to Information

Cardiff University holds several types of information. You can find out a lot of information about the University, its Schools and its courses by browsing the web pages (see above links to About the University or Schools and Divisions] or you may prefer to use the Search facility at the top of the page.

If you would like a copy of information that you believe the University holds about you  please follow the links to the  pages.  This link will also take you to guidance on data protection matters for staff.

As the University is a public body for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act   we are committed to making available all the information described in our Publication Scheme.  We are also obliged to respond to requests for other information we hold according to the terms of the Act. 

The University has a confidentiality policy and a guide for staff - both are available as downloadable resources from this page.  In accordance with the policy all staff processing personal data must either be under contract to the University or have signed the "Confidentiality Agreement - Casual Labour" (see link under Resources).
