Governance and Compliance
The Governance and Compliance Division provides professional support to the University in its pursuit of excellence in teaching and research. The Director of the Division is Mrs Carole Evans and the Deputy Director is Mrs Ruth Robertson.
On behalf of the Director of Registry, Governance and Students, the Division is responsible for supporting the governance structures of the University (Council, Court, Senate) and for co-ordinating the business, membership and administrative arrangements of the main committees; supporting a number of complaint/probity-related procedures (including the student complaints process); co-ordinating business continuity planning and records management; co-ordinating the Welsh Language Translation Service and assisting in the development of Welsh Medium academic provision.
In addition it is responsible for advising the University, and leading on the development of best practice policy and procedures, in relation to its compliance with statutory and mandatory obligations in the fields of: equality and diversity; information rights, access and records retention; human tissue use; the Welsh language.
