Gwyneth Lewis was appointed Wales's inaugural National Poet in 2005. She wrote the six-foot high words – thought to be the biggest poem in the world - on the front of the Wales Millennium Centre.
She is an award-winning poet in both English and Welsh, her first language. Gwyneth has been Writer in Residence at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Cardiff University, where she is an Honorary Fellow. She is currently Mildred Londa Weisman Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University.
Gwyneth has written this poem, ‘Education’, as a special commission for Cardiff University’s 125th Anniversary.
