Cardiff University has an extensive outreach programme that encourages students of various age groups to aspire to and prepare for higher education.
Our Schools and Colleges Liaison Team work with over 240 schools and colleges each year to deliver information sessions for year 12 and year 13 students.
We run a range of programmes and activities to raise aspirations and promote higher education to traditionally under-represented groups in Wales. These are offered to students in years 11 to 13.
We work in partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University (formerly UWIC) to raise awareness and promote the benefits of higher education through HE Roadshow assemblies which are delivered to year 10 and 11 students in Welsh schools.
Cardiff University holds an annual conference for teachers and careers advisers to showcase the University’s newest facilities and provide information about changes in higher education and the application process. Our next conference will be held on Friday 12th July 2013. More information about the event will follow shortly.
Bookings from school and college groups are welcomed at our Open Day in April and there are specific events held for visiting teachers and advisers. We also hold two Visit Days per year in addition to the Open Day.
