We charge a tuition fee of £9,000 per year to new undergraduate students beginning their studies. This will ensure our high-calibre research-led teaching is protected, and the vibrant student experience enjoyed by our students will be maintained and continually improved.
Most UK/EU students will be eligible for financial support to cover the whole cost of the tuition fee. You will not be required to pay any money back until you graduate and start earning more than £21,000 per year.
Tell our funding calculator your circumstances and get an instant estimate of your tuition costs including available funding.
Cardiff University currently offers a tuition fee waiver for undergraduate asylum seekers who apply for admission to the University. To find out whether you are eligible visit the student support centre pages.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone who has the ability to study at Cardiff is able to do so whatever their financial circumstances. A comprehensive package of scholarships and bursaries has been developed to provide additional financial support.
Fees for postgraduate study are available in our Postgraduate funding section.
Information about fees for part-time study can be found here.
