Student Residences and Support

  • Where? Wallace Lecture Theatre, Main Building

This talk covers the Cardiff guarantee for student accommodation and explores the range and quality of residences on offer in addition to the support services available for our students.

Student Finance

  • When? 10.00am, 11.00pm, 1.00pm, 2.00pm
  • Where? Large Shandon Lecture Theatre, Main Building

This talk will provide information about tuition fees, student loans and will give you an insight into how real students cope with their finances, highlighting some of the common pitfalls encountered (so that you can avoid them!). Suitable for all courses including medicine and dentistry.

NHS funding – Healthcare-related courses

  • When? 12noon
  • Where? Large Shandon Lecture Theatre, Main Building

This talk explores student funding and looks at realistic budgeting to help students manage their income. Please note this session is designed for students of the schools of Healthcare Studies and Nursing & Midwifery. The main Student Finance talk (above) is most suitable for those interested in Medicine and Dentistry.

This talk will provide you with an overview of the application process. You will gain tips about what to include in your personal statement to impress admissions tutors.

This session will provide information about the new student facilities at Cardiff, what life in the capital city of Wales is really like and how our graduates can look forward to one of the highest graduate employment rates in the UK. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions to a panel of university staff and students at the end of the talk

Sport at Cardiff

  • When? 11.30am
  • Where? Physiology 'A' Lecture Theatre, Biomedical Building

If you want sport to be a big part of your life at Cardiff this session will provide you with everything you need to know. Details of our sporting structure, sports clubs, all our sports facilities and sports bursaries, as well as student participation opportunities ranging from Intra Mural Games to representing the University in competitive BUCS fixtures will be provided.
