We’re asking Cardiff Uni students to send us snaps that they think sum up their experience of student life in the city

In return, we’re giving you the opportunity to get your hands on some great prizes. We’ve got pairs of tickets to see Plan B and Paloma Faith at the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff as well as vouchers for St David’s Shopping Centre to give away.

The competition is running for three weeks, from Monday 19 November, and as well as the prizes for the overall winner and runner up, we’ll also be offering weekly prizes for the most creative entries.

Your photo can be of anything that you think captures the essence of what Cardiff University has to offer to students, but you must have taken it yourself.

We’ll be announcing the weekly themes on Facebook and Twitter so keep your eyes peeled!

On Facebook

Just post your entry on our Facebook wall with the caption ‘Capture Cardiff’ and your student number

On Twitter and Instagram

Direct your entry @cardiffuniug and use the hashtag #CaptureCardiff along with your student number

What we’ve got to give away:

The winner of #CaptureCardiff will be able to choose between two tickets to see Plan B or two tickets to see Paloma Faith, both in February 2012 at the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff. They will also receive a £20 voucher for St David’s Shopping Centre.

• The runner up will receive the remaining set of tickets and a £20 voucher for St David’s.
• Each of our three weekly winners will also be awarded a £20 voucher for St David’s.

We’ll be pulling all the best entries together on a pin board so that we can show prospective students what an amazing time they’ll have if choose Cardiff Uni.

Terms and conditions

The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday 6 December 2012. Entrants must have taken the photograph they enter themselves and must currently be a Cardiff University student. Prizes cannot be exchanged for other events.
