All applications for a place on any of the Healthcare Studies degree schemes must be made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) application service.
Offers are made to all students who either meet, or have the potential to meet, the entry requirements for the relevant degree programme and these selection criteria should be read in conjunction with those requirements. Potential is assessed by reference to the entirety of the information included on the UCAS application form, and in light of any special circumstances relating to an applicant of which the School has been informed.
The personal statement is an important part of the selection process and assessment of this may have implications on the conditions set for entry.
As well as academic achievements, it is expected that applicants should have carried out either relevant work experience or some voluntary work ad to have looked into the various aspects of the profession. Applicants can also gain a broad knowledge of the breadth and diversity of radiography through reading radiography journals and by speaking with radiographers. Information can be obtained from the Society and College of Radiographers website which can be found at: www.sor.org

Cardiff School of Healthcare Studies will not use contextual data in our admissions process during the 2012 entry admissions cycle.
