Students with other qualifications or experience

The School welcomes applications from mature students and students from non-traditional backgrounds. Such applicants may be interviewed prior to any offer. Evidence is sought of recent academic interest and engagement, usually in the form of written work. Evidence of part-time study can also be taken into consideration. Applications from ACCESS students are particularly welcome.

Overseas applicants

Overseas candidates are judged against the same criteria as set out above. Following the initial assessment on the application, an essay (or other written work) can be required in support of the application. Entry grades are those equivalent to the standard grades.

In some cases there may be a need to demonstrate that the application meets the University's English Language requirements. For Single and Joint Honours the standard should be equivalent to IELTS 7.0.

English Language Qualifications

In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, competence in the English Language is also a criterion of admission.

Additional Requirements for Admission

There are no specific additional requirements for admission.

Resit Candidates

Resit candidates will be considered on an individual basis.
