Disabilities and Specific Needs

Part IV of the Disability Discrimination Act (1995) places an ‘anticipatory duty’ on the School to ensure that students with disabilities are not treated less favourably than their peers for a reason relating to their disability. The Act further states that institutions have a duty to make ‘reasonable’ adjustments to ensure equality of learning experience for students with disabilities.

Applications are judged on academic issues alone and are processed without reference to disability. Applications from those with disabilities / special needs are encouraged. Applicants may be contacted by the Disability and Dyslexia Service after an offer has been made to discuss specific requirements in detail.
