NHS Bursaries
Please note: the information below is relevant to healthcare students commencing their studies in 2011, it has yet to be confirmed for 2012. Further information will appear here as soon as it becomes available.
The NHS pays all the tuition fees for students entering healthcare courses.
A number of funded places are available to cover the entire cost of the tuition fees throughout the course for the following subjects:
- Dental Hygiene
- Dental Therapy
- Nursing and Midwifery
- Occupational Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Radiography
- Radiotherapy
Students studying Nursing or Midwifery will receive a non-means tested bursary. For all of the other courses listed above, students receive a means-tested bursary for the duration of their course to help cover living expenses.
The NHS covers the cost of tuition fees for the 5th (and 6th year, where appropriate) for Dentistry and Medicine courses.
