Lead Scholarships worth £3,000

The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol is offering Welsh medium scholarship schemes for undergraduates studying Welsh and Law through the medium of Welsh at Cardiff University. 

Two scholarships worth £3000 (over three years) have been allocated for students wishing to study Welsh (single honours) at Cardiff from September 2012.

Another two scholarships have been allocated for students wishing to study Law, and Law with Welsh (joint honours) at Cardiff University from September 2012.

For those wishing to study Welsh at Cardiff University scholarships are awarded on the basis of excellence in an examination paper set by the School of Welsh. Candidates may sit the two-hour examination in their school or college (with the Headteacher’s or the Principal's permission) or at the School of Welsh.

For those wishing to study Law at Cardiff University scholarships are awarded on a similar basis as above.

Incentive Scholarships worth £1500

The Incentive scholarships are worth £500 a year (or up to £1500 over three years), and are open to students who intend to study at least a third (or at least 40 credits a year) of their degree courses through the medium of Welsh.  

The Incentive Scholarships are available in the following degree courses at Cardiff University from September 2012: Law; Law and Welsh; Biology; Ecology and Zoology.
