The Schools and Colleges Liaison Office promotes the study opportunities at Cardiff University by offering prospective students and their teachers advice on all aspects of Higher Education. Schools' Liaison staff aim to help students make informed decisions about their higher education options. The service offered to schools and colleges includes a programme of talks for students and parents, mock-interviews and information sessions. A variety of subjects are covered within the talks, including:

- Student Finance and Welfare
- UCAS and the Application Process
- Interview Techniques
- A Parent's Guide to Higher Education
- A Guide to Student Life
HE Conventions/Careers Events
Schools' Liaison staff attend school/college Higher Education conventions and career events throughout the UK. These provide another opportunity for prospective students to gain information and up-to-date advice about University life and Cardiff University more specifically. We also send representatives to UCAS fairs throughout the UK. For information on how to book a school/college group onto a UCAS fair, please visit the UCAS website.

Open Day
Cardiff University’s Open Day is an ideal opportunity for prospective students to discover university life as it really is and to attend sample lectures on their chosen subjects.

Visit Day
The University hosts a Visit Day each September for Year 13 students. The programme includes campus tours and presentations and gives visitors the opportunity to meet staff and students but please note that unlike the University-wide Open Day there are no visits to academic schools. Campus visits
Visitors are free to visit the University at any time. The University has a self guided campus tour booklet which visitors can collect from our Undergraduate Office at the address below, along with a location guide to help you find your way around the campus.
The Undergraduate Recruitment Office is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm.
