Welsh

A-level

BBB (300 points), including 100 in Welsh to study Honours or Joint Honours Welsh. General Studies is not accepted. A B grade or above in Welsh is normally required, especially for applicants studying Welsh as a second language.

AS

Two AS subjects may be considered in lieu of one A-level in subjects other than Welsh, for which six units must normally have been studied.

IRL

Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.

IB

Obtain Diploma with an overall score of 30 points, including at least 5 in Welsh at Higher Level.

EB

Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.

BTEC

Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.

Vocational A-Levels

Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.

Welsh Baccalaureate

300 points including a 100 in Welsh.  The WB will normally be included in the points total but each application will be considered individually.

Scottish Higher

Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.

Key Skills

Evidence of competence in key skills is welcomed, although success in the Key Skills qualification forms no part of the School's formal entry requirements.

Other

Applications from those offering alternative/vocational/overseas qualifications (eg. Access,Vocational A-level) are welcome, as are those who may have combinations of qualifications or other relevant work/life experience.
