History
A-level
AAB to include History. General Studies is not accepted.
AS
Two AS subjects, at grades C or above, will be considered in lieu of a third A-level.
IRL
BBBBBC-BBBBB at Higher level.
IB
Obtain Diploma with an overall score of 28-30 points including scores of 5/4 at Higher Level.
EB
Obtain Diploma with an average of 70% including 7.5 in History.
BTEC
Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.
Vocational A-Levels
A mixture of A-level/AS and Vocational A-levels is accepted. Each case is considered on its own merits.
Welsh Baccalaureate
In general pass 'Core' plus BB at AGCE, though each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.
Scottish Higher
AABBB at Higher Level, including a grade A in History.
Key Skills
The Key Skills qualification forms no part of the School's entry requirements
Other
Applications from those offering alternative/vocational/overseas qualifications (eg. Access,Vocational A-level) are welcome as are those who may have combinations of qualifications or other relevant work/life experience.
Interviewing Policy
Applicants offering non traditional qualifications and selected other applicants are interviewed.
