Business Studies including Business Studies and Japanese

A-level

AAB.  Any combination of not more than three A-level subjects, excluding General Studies. For degrees with a European language one of the A-level subjects must be a modern foreign language. For BSc Econ Economics one of the A-level subjects must be Mathematics.

GCSE

English Language at grade C and Mathematics at grade B are required for all the Business School degree programmes excluding Business Studies with Japanese. 

IRL

AAAABB at Higher Level 

IB

Obtain Diploma with an overall score of 35 points to include Mathematics and English (standard level) with scores of 5.

EB

Obtain Diploma with an average of 8.0 with 75% in Mathematics and English.

BTEC National Diploma (in a Business or related subject)

Distinction, Distinction, Distinction. 

Vocational A-Level

A 6-unit Vocational A level is acceptable if accompanied by two A-levels. A 12-unit Vocational A Level is acceptable if accompanied by an A-level.

Welsh Baccalaureate - to be confirmed

WB + 2 A2: WBQ with a pass in core plus AB at A2.

WB + 3 A2: WBQ with a pass in core with AB at A2 or AAB at A2.

Scottish Higher

Normally a score of AAABB would be required.

Key Skills

The Key Skills qualification forms no part of the School's formal entry requirements.

Interviewing Policy

Typically only those with non-traditional qualifications may be invited to interview.

Applications from those offering alternative/vocational/overseas qualifications are welcome as are those who may have combinations of qualifications or other relevant work/life experience. Each applicant is considered on his/her individual merit.
