Ancient History

A-level

BBB (300 points), to include at least two traditional arts subjects. General Studies is not accepted.

AS

Two AS subjects will be considered in lieu of a third A-level.

IRL

BBBCCC - BBBCC at Higher Level.

IB

Obtain Diploma with an overall score of 28 points and scores of 5/4 at Higher Level.

EB

Obtain Diploma with an overall average of 70%.

BTEC

Distinctions required at Level N. No exemptions given.

Mature Students

Decisions are made on the basis of interview. Selectors typically ask for a pass in an accredited Access course or other evidence of recent study.

Vocational A-Levels

A six unit vocational A-level is acceptable in any subject. Selectors will also consider a combination of one academic A-level and a 12 unit vocational A-level.

Welsh Baccalaureate

Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.

Scottish Higher

Each applicant will be considered on his/her individual merit.

Key Skills

The Key Skills qualification forms no part of the School's entry requirements.

Interviewing Policy

Mature applicants and those offering non-standard qualifications are invited to interview.
