Open Evening

Are you interested in pursuing a research degree?

Come and discuss your research interests with academic staff and current students on an informal basis over mulled wine and mince pies (soft drinks will also be available).

The event is also open to those interested in taught programmes who are unable to attend the main Postgraduate Open Day on 3rd November.

Booking for this event is mandatory.

About the event

Our Open Evening is designed primarily for students interested in undertaking a research degree at Cardiff and will offer an opportunity for informal discussion with academic staff about your research interests and the opportunities available at Cardiff. Information about funding will also be available.

Students interested in taught courses who are unable to attend the main Postgraduate Open Day on 3rd November are also welcome to attend. Information on the programmes will be available to collect and staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Current postgraduate Research students will also be available to answer your questions about their experience of studying at Cardiff University.

Mulled wine and mince pies will be served (soft drinks will also be available).

Booking

Please note that booking for this event is mandatory. Students who are interested in pursuing a research degree should indicate on the booking form the area of research they are interested in. We will then endeavour to ensure that an appropriate member of academic staff is available to discuss these interests with you on the day. Please note that whilst we make every effort to ensure the availability of an appropriate member of staff who can discuss your research area, we cannot guarantee the availability of specific research project supervisors on the day.
