Postgraduate Open Day 3 November 2010
Cardiff University's annual Postgraduate Open Day took place on Wednesday 3rd November.

What can I see and do?
Open Day gives you the opportunity to see facilities, meet staff and students and find out more about the courses available here in Cardiff. The activities on offer include:
Academic Schools Exhibition AreaStaff from all of our academic Schools will be on hand throughout the day in a central exhibition area in the Great Hall of the Students' Union. You will be able to collect literature and talk to staff from the School about the courses on offer and your interests.
General Talks
Our general talks cover subjects such as Funding and Finance, Accommodation at Cardiff and the Application Process. A timetable of talks will be available in due course.
Advice Shops
Staff are on-hand to give you more information and answer questions on a variety of things such as: funding, making an application, careers, student support services and student life.
Tours
There are one-hour walking tours of the Cathays Park Campus throughout the day, conducted by our current postgraduate students. Staff from the Graduate Centre will be on hand throughout the day to offer a tour of our dedicated facilities for postgraduate students.
Subject-specific Talks
A series of presentations will be given throughout the day by members of our Academic Schools and specialist advisors. These will be on a variety of topics: specific postgraduate programmes at Cardiff, postgraduate study within individual academic schools, and more general features of postgraduate study.
