It is likely that the energy sector will experience significant growth over the next few years,  so it seemed a good choice for employment opportunities. There are few universities that offer my course, one which is recognised by specific engineering institutions, so this made Cardiff the perfect choice.

I did my undergraduate degree here so things have been very much the same for me in terms of course structure, but it does work well. Engineering has a lot of contact time with the lecturers and most lecturers operate with an open door policy, making the whole experience very welcoming.

With Cardiff being a capital city it’s a great place for postgraduates with lots of opportunities. It’s a city that takes pride in its appearance and is constantly developing which makes it a great place to get involved with renewable technologies, design and construction.

Renewable energies in this moment in time are so important and being at the forefront of their design and development excites me, pushing the boundaries of the technologies that already exist and developing the unknown. The course has been very interesting and I can’t wait to put the knowledge I have gained to good use in the industry.
