Careful research into potential funding opportunities is essential, as is allowing yourself plenty of time to submit applications in advance of any deadlines set by the relevant funding organisation. You will also need to have a firm offer of a place to study on a postgraduate programme before you will be considered for most postgraduate funding awards.
