Enrolment is the process of registering at the University as a new student.
There are two stages to enrolment:
It is important that you complete both online and School enrolment. If you do not fully enrol at the University you will not be able to go to class, access university buildings, or remain in the UK.
All students are expected to be in Cardiff for Monday 23 September 2013 which is the start of induction week. During Induction Week there are important compulsory meetings to attend, visits to your Schools and the opportunity to meet your tutors and other students on the course. You will receive a lot of important information during Induction Week which will help you settle into academic life at Cardiff University.
It is essential that you inform us of any changes to your correspondence and e-mail address so that we can continue to keep in touch with you during the coming months.
It is very important we have your correct details. We will need to communicate important information about joining the course throughout the summer.

For your International Foundation year you can apply for accommodation in Talybont South, Aberdare Hall or Gordon Hall (information about these residences can be found on the website using the following links below).
If you are successful on the International Foundation Programme, you will be able to apply for a wider selection of undergraduate residences as you progress to the first year of your degree at Cardiff University (you will receive further information about this during your foundation year).
You can apply for accommodation for 2013/14 as soon as you have firmly accepted the University's offer of a place to study on the International Foundation Programme.
To make an on-line application for a place in University residences please go to www.sims.cf.ac.uk and log in using your Cardiff University username and password (this will be sent to you by email).
Click on University Residences and submit an application. Our Residences Office will then allocate your room later in the summer.
If you have a medical condition with special requirements, please inform us using the appropriate section on the form. Supporting medical evidence may be required.
If you have any difficulties completing the form online, or have any other questions, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help.

If you wish to live in private accommodation please make sure you arrive in Cardiff before the start of Induction Week to allow yourself enough time to look for and move into a suitable flat or house. You will find it very difficult to do this once Induction Week has started. If you would like any further information regarding private accommodation please contact us.
More information about the induction programme for international students can be found in our Coming to Cardiff pages.
