The Bridge Programme is changing. From September 2013 the Bridge Programme will be replaced with the English for University Study Programme. Students currently on the Bridge programme or starting the programme in April 2013 will not be affected by this change.
The information and documents below contain very important information that you need to know about coming to Cardiff for the Bridge Programme in April 2013.
Please read everything carefully!
All students need be in Cardiff for the start of the course on Monday 15 April 2013. During your first week there are important meetings to attend, you will take our entry test and you will be able to meet your tutors and other students on the course. You will receive a lot of important information in this week which will help you settle into academic life at Cardiff University.
There are 3 stages to enrolment:
Unlike other students in the University, you do NOT need to pay your tuition fees online. You will need to pay your fees when you register with English Language Programmes on Monday 15 April. Information about how to pay your fees can be found in the 'Bridge Programme Enrolment Information April 2013' document which you can find here.
If you are already in the UK, you must the correct visa to enrol at Cardiff University. It is very important that you make sure you have a suitable visa to enrol at Cardiff University. If you are already in the UK, or have already had a Tier 4 student visa, please contact us immediately: elt@cardiff.ac.uk
It is essential that you tell us of any changes to your correspondence and e-mail address so that we can continue to keep in touch with you during the coming months. It is very important we have your correct details. We will need to communicate important information throughout the summer about joining the course.

University residences will be available for you to move into on Friday 12 April from 10:00am until 5:00pm.
If you told us that you would like to live in University accommodation AND you have an unconditional offer for the Bridge Programme, you will have received an email from us which tells you how to apply for a place in university residences.
Bridge Programme students apply for accommodation in a different way to other students. You must follow the instructions in the document which can be found here.
If you have any problems completing the form online, or have any other questions, please contact residences@cardiff.ac.uk for help.
If you wish to live in private accommodation, please make sure you arrive in Cardiff early to allow yourself enough time to look for and move into a suitable flat or house. You will find it very difficult to do this once the course has started. If you would like any further information regarding private accommodation please email residences@cardiff.ac.uk.

If your parents or other members of your family are accompanying you to Cardiff in April you MUST book hotel accommodation for them in Cardiff as soon as possible. For information about travelling to Cardiff please click here.
RESLAN is the University’s computer network in halls of residence. To check whether your computer meets the minimum security requirements for use on the University network, please access the Internet with the machine you are bringing with you and click on the link below (note - do this again just before you leave home, to make sure nothing has changed): http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/insrv/it/network/reslan/index.html.
If your computer fails the test please make sure you rectify any issues before trying to connect to RESLAN, remember it's YOUR responsibility to make sure your machine has anti-virus software installed, is virus-free and is set to receive automatic security updates.

We will give a copy of the Enrolment Terms and Conditions document to you on the first day of your course. It can also be found here.
Please note that the ELP office will be closed for the Easter Bank Holidays from 5:00pm 28 March until 9:00am 2 April 2013.
