Course Structure

We have designed this programme to give you a solid grounding in your chosen subject area as well as to give you the best possible information and assistance for your time as a student in the UK. The International Foundation Programme is a modular programme, divided into two main parts:

• Core Modules
  these are compulsory for all students. The overall aim of the English language and study skills input is to help you meet the demands of academic study during your Foundation programme and to prepare you effectively for the academic scheme you will proceed to afterwards.
• Subject Specific Modules
  these are directly related to your intended choice of degree programme

You will take a total of twelve modules during the year, six in each semester.

Marking Scheme

You will be given a percentage mark for each module of the programme.  The marks are as follows:

40% - Pass

50% - Merit

65% - Distinction
