Courses

Cardiff University has a variety of English Language Programmes. Students on our English Language courses have access to all University facilities, including accommodation, language laboratory and resource centres.

The Bridge Programme
An English Language and Study Skills Programme primarily for students interested in a course in academic English (whether they plan to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a UK institution or not).

Pre-Sessional English Courses
An intensive Summer Programme in English designed for students holding offers from Cardiff University at either undergraduate or postgraduate level. Courses are 8 or 10 weeks.

International Foundation Programme
A one year academic programme designed to provide students with both the English language and academic skills required for university undergraduate degree programmes.

In-Sessional English Language Support Services
Information on English language support courses for current Cardiff University students.  

Students who want to apply to our English Language Programmes with an IELTS certificate must have taken the academic version of the test. (Other English language test are accepted.  Please contact us for more details).
