English Language Programmes

The Communication and International Relations Division houses Cardiff University's official English language teaching centre for international students. We offer a variety of courses ranging from 4 weeks to 9 months which cater for most language levels and abilities. Our students come from all over the world, and they have chosen to learn English for a variety of reasons.

Whether you are making plans to continue your academic studies at Cardiff University or elsewhere in the UK, or wish to improve your career prospects, or are learning for pleasure, we aim to help you succeed.

Important visa information: The UK Government introduced a new Visa and immigration system on 31st March 2009 called the Points Based Immigration System.  As English Language Programmes students you will need a student visa to allow you to study in the UK.
