Student Volunteering Cardiff is one of the UK’s largest student led volunteering organisations. We have approximately 1,000 volunteers working on more than 30 projects with disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
Projects include working with children and young people with a disability, working in a homeless drop in centre, helping people with mental health problems, and working with adults with learning disabilities in a community garden.
You can choose to volunteer for as few or as many hours as you can spare. With projects having one-off, weekly and monthly commitments there will be a placement to suit you.
You'll meet loads of new people through SVC's regular socials and the experience provides valuable skills which will increase your chances of gaining employment or going onto postgraduate study.
Student Volunteering Cardiff has achieved 'Investing in Volunteers' recognition. Cardiff University was the first higher education institution in the UK to receive this award.
