Parking for students

Parking is not available on site or within a three mile radius at the following residences:

Aberconway Hall
Aberdare Hall
Colum Hall
Senghennydd Hall
Student Houses (Colum Road/Place)
Student Houses/Flats (Village)
Talybont Court
Talybont South

Parking is restricted at the following halls of residence to those students with an allocated parking permit (if you have not been allocated a parking permit then you will be unable to park on site, or within a three mile radius):

Cartwright Court
Gordon Hall
Hodge Hall
Roy Jenkins Hall
Senghennydd Court
Talybont Court (disabled students’ permits only)
Talybont North
University Hall

For security purposes, all motor vehicles parked on University owned property must display a valid parking permit. Any vehicle not displaying a parking permit will be subject to further action, possibly resulting in a fixed penalty being issued. You are advised to secure your vehicle at all times and not leave valuable items in your vehicle.

To allow for the access of emergency vehicles at any time, all vehicles must be parked in designated resident parking spaces. Please note, there is a 5mph speed restriction on all residences sites.

Alternative means of transport

Most students find it easy to get around Cardiff and the surrounding area by walking, cycling or using public transport. Cardiff has an excellent local transport network. For further information, please refer to the contacts below:

For University Hall students, there is a dedicated bus service to and from the Cathays Park Campus and Heath Park Campus which runs weekdays from 8.00am until 5.30pm between 19 September 2012 and 14 June 2013. This service is not available during the Christmas Recess (17 December 2012 to 4 January 2013) and the Easter Recess (25 March 2013 to 12 April 2013).
