Our strength is our people.
With over 28,000 students and circa 6,000 staff, Cardiff's academic community is the size of a small town.
Dedicated to engaging with business, the University holds a range of business events throughout the year, including workshops, evening events and guest lectures. Cardiff’s Innovation Network provides opportunities for Business to Business and Business to University links through a regular programme of evening meetings, networking and high profile guest speaker events.
Our close links with employers and professional bodies along with an extremely high quality learning environment ensures that Cardiff graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge relevant to the market. Student projects and placements enable employers to gain a fresh perspective on a business related problem or strategic need.
The University is the largest provider of adult education in Wales. Cardiff's Centre for Lifelong Learning provides several hundred courses across South East Wales as well as CPD via part time Choices courses, or bespoke programmes tailor made for each organisation's needs.
“The networking events put on by Cardiff University fulfil my academic and business interests and needs. Due to the wide spectrum of businesses that attend I'm able to network with micro sized organisations up to multi-billion pound turn over companies. The themes of the events vary and are very relevant to the times, which keeps me up to date with what’s going on in all sectors of business. They are excellently hosted with top rate speakers and do not run on too late, which is a bonus!”
